Music Cities Convention Alberta

Event theme: Scaling Up Music Cities: Cultivating the Future of Alberta


The first Canadian and 10th global edition of Music Cities Convention will take place in the cities of Edmonton & Calgary, Canada, and is presented alongside West Anthem, the National Music Centre, and Alberta Music.

This will be the first-ever hybrid edition of Music Cities Convention, with 35+ speakers and 400+ delegates attending live from Calgary and Edmonton, and virtually from all around the world. 


This event will also mark the first time Music Cities Convention is held concurrently in two different cities.

A top-class event platform and unique locations in Calgary and Edmonton will allow Alberta delegates to attend from their preferred city, whilst giving national and international representatives the opportunity to enjoy an exciting virtual experience. 

At the moment, in-person tickets are only available to Alberta residents, although we are hoping to release further in-person tickets for national and international attendees in the near future and welcome the global music community to Alberta. See our ticket page for more information.

Join the Official Event Hub!

As part of the event, all ticket holders will have access to the official event hub.
This will be the event's main digital platform, bringing together all delegates and speakers attending in person or digitally. In the hub attendees will be able to:

  • Check out the event programme and learn more about topics and speakers;
  • Find out more about the event partners and sponsors;
  • Ask questions, answer polls and interact live with speakers; 
  • Share thoughts, comments and pictures;
  • Receive event notifications and updates;
  • Watch the event live stream in high quality, if attending virtually. 
The hub will be launched in July and will be exclusively available to ticket holders on mobile or desktop.
