Job: Marketing Manager
Base: Remote in Latin America, Africa or Asia
Time: 3 to 5 days per week
Reports To: Head of Marketing & Partnerships

The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a passionate and highly motivated marketing professional to join our team in promoting our global conferences, the Music Cities Awards, our educational projects and more.
The Company:
Our vision is for everyone to understand and advocate for the economic and social value of music in improving the world. We work to achieve this by organising the biggest international conferences on the topics of music cities and music tourism, producing the Music Cities Awards, and running initiatives like the Hidden Gems of Music Tourism and the Music Cities Community. Each of our brands is focused in some way on how music can be used to create more value in towns, cities & places, and explores topics ranging from economic & social development, sustainability, tourism, real estate, education, night-time economy, health & wellbeing, & more.
Your Key Objectives:
Implement marketing campaigns that will grow our global network, sell out our conferences and expand awareness of our other initiatives and services.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Head of Marketing & Partnerships on developing our marketing strategy and plans
Lead on implementing the marketing strategy and marketing campaigns for our various projects
Work directly with our Projects team on the implementation of plans for promoting our conferences, Awards and various projects
Takeover responsibility for managing our social media accounts
Takeover responsibility for creating 1x email newsletter per month
Lead on updating and improving our website pages & info
Lead on measuring and evaluating our marketing initiatives, and developing ideas to improve our marketing plans/campaigns
Work closely with other team members and external freelancers to create designs, video content or for implementing relevant marketing research plans
Assist the wider team with more urgent tasks when necessary
You will ideally be/have:
Experienced in creating & implementing marketing campaigns to promote conferences or events
Experienced in leading b2b event marketing campaigns, running b2b social media accounts, and creating b2b email newsletters
Proven skills in selling-out conferences or events
Experienced in positioning and marketing events around the world
Experience in developing & implementing content marketing initiatives
Understanding of what it takes to drive registrations for an event, and how to do that globally
Have really strong attention to detail, and ability to spot small mistakes in texts or designs
Proactive self-starter who is used to working alone and remotely in fast paced teams, based across multiple continents
Ability to multi-task and complete tasks flawlessly under tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills & fluent in English
Excellent ability in using Mailchimp, Canva, website development tools, social media platforms, ticket selling sites and other event & marketing tools
Desirable Skills:
Interest in music and culture
Understanding of the topics we’re focused on
