On 29 - 31 May, 2024, Music Tourism Convention will travel to Cape Breton Island for its 6th global edition, presented by Destination Cape Breton.
This event will feature several days of talks and presentations, evening events and a pre-convention music tour that will allow attendees to dive into all things related to music tourism and learn how to use music to improve a destination’s branding while strengthening the local community.
Cape Breton Island is a community known for its strong musical heritage and welcoming locals, a place where Celtic heritage, Mi' Kmaq culture and impressive natural sights combine to create one of the most special places on earth, an an ideal place to host the Music Tourism Convention.

The conference sessions will be made up of a mix of panel discussions, hands-on roundtable workshops, Q&As and presentations focused on topics ranging from music's role in destination branding, attracting investment, encouraging tourism, developing communities, and developing local and international partnerships, plus how to support and utilise your music heritage, musicians and live music scene.
